About Vivekananda College

Vivekananda College was established in 1970 by the Govt. Of NCT Delhi in East Delhi’s knowledge hub of Vivek Vihar. Affiliated to the University of Delhi, Vivekananda College also has an A grade accreditation by NAAC. The college has 100+ faculty members. Its main objective was to offer higher education to students in nearby areas like North East Delhi, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The college began its journey with only 300 students admitted to the B.A (General) course. Now Vivekananda College caters to over 2000 students at the undergraduate level courses. The college offers postgraduate programmes as well. It has established a new academic block to cater to the growing number of students from the Trans Yamuna area.

Vivekananda college university of delhi is a women college. It was established in 1970 with grants from UGC and Delhi Administration.
